male or female

The question arises very often when we decide to adopt a puppy and faced with the growing demand for small females, I decided to talk to you a little about small males, to put an end to preconceived ideas.

First of all, ethologists have demonstrated that there is no fundamental difference between males and females; the differences that can be highlighted concerning character and temperament are specific to each individual but in no way linked to its sex.

Scientific studies teach us more every day and it is therefore high time to re-establish the truth in order to help you choose more easily and without preconceptions the one who will become your new companion!

- The male is just as attached to his family, he is gentle, cuddly and very demanding of a close relationship. He will love his family as much as a female.

- The male, educated and attached to his family will not be more likely to run away than a female. Whatever happens for the safety of your companion (male or female) it will be very important that your garden is well fenced and secure.

- Urine marking, very often associated with males, can also be practiced by females (they are sometimes even worse!)

Housetraining is a very important point to avoid this and on average a dog that goes out enough will have an empty bladder and will not proceed with this marking. As for hormones and the small inconveniences that accompany them (untimely marking, heat in females, etc.) we always advise to sterilize your companions, since they are not intended for reproduction. You will thus preserve their health!

- The male will not be more difficult to educate as long as socialization is well underway at the breeding and it is the same for each individual, regardless of sex! The rest is a matter of personal investment...

Regardless of the sex, there will always be advantages and disadvantages, but for families looking for a close relationship with their puppy and ready to invest in education, a male or a female will bring the same amount of love and happiness! (Males are often much more cuddly than females!!!)

And finally... since you are looking for a mate, small males are always sold cheaper than females.
